Motorcycle and Scooters will launch the much-awaited Honda CBR650F sports bike in the Indian two-wheeler market in July-August, 2015. The company has already dispatched the bike to its dealerships, indicating a near launch.
Honda CBR650F is basically Honda's middle-weight superbike. Powering the bike is a 649cc, inline-4 cylinder liquid cooled engine, paired to a six-speed gearbox. This engine is capable of producing a top power output of 86PS at 11,000rpm and a peak torque of 64Nm at 8,000rpm. The bike weighs 209kg, and is more of a sports-tourer instead of a track focused machine. ABS will be offered as standard; the bike accelerates to 100kmph from zero in less than 4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 225kmph. features a PGM-FI Programmed automatic enrichment circuit with 32mm throttle bodies, 41mm fork front suspension and single shock rear suspension. The braking system comprises of 320mm discs front brake and Single-caliper 240mm disc at the rear.
CBR 650F is expected to be priced around INR 8 lakh which is quite high compared to its competitors. It will directly rival against the likes of the Benelli TNT600 GT and the Kawasaki Ninja 650.
